Job Purpose

Prioritize and complete routine laboratory tests, record data results, maintain quality systems by inspecting incoming materials, verifying production processes, testing finished goods, and monitoring implementation of quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follows all Safety and Quality Systems policies/procedures
  • Monitors and verifies production processes and outgoing products and, reports quality issues and discrepancies to the QC Supervisor.
  • Conducts visual and measurement tests based on existing working instructions and standards for raw materials, semimanofactured products, finished goods and packaging materials.
  • Follows up on quality decisions to ensure corrective actions will take/have taken place on, but not limited to: questionable products on hold; rejecting non-conforming materials to the supplier; non-conforming products for re-processing.
  • Verifies the calibration of devices and equipments assigned to QC.
  • Collects and organizes sample(s) of raw materials/semi-manufactured products/finished goods for laboratory tests and further reference.
  • Performs inspections following our GHP, HACCP or any other quality system in place (E.g.: Personal hygiene, Cleaning, Pest control, Transportation, Storage).
  • Analyzes lab samples and record data
  • Maintains test analysis data in SharePoint
  • Analyzes trends in data
  • Able to complete sample tests within alloted goal time frame
  • Performs lab equipment verification checks based upon quality standards

Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma or Bachelor (BSc) in one of the following fields: Bioscience, Food Science, Feed Processing, Pharmaceutical Technology, or similar.
  • 1+ year QC.QA experience in food/feed factory.
  • Familiar with general laboratory practices.
  • Basic knowledge of GMP and HACCP systems.
  • MS Office (proficient in Excel, familiar with Word and PowerPoint)
