Job Purpose

Overall responsibility for the commercial liaison, logistics and administrative support process for Benchmark Genetics, Shrimp.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform Commercial and Logistic support duties:
  • Overseeing the order to delivery process through collaboration with the logistic team at the Benchmark Genetics production facilities in the US and Colombia.
    • Receive orders from the commercial team, responsibles and collaborators
    • Monitor orders versus inventory in conjunction with the production team
    • Issue Sales contracts
    • Follow up on payments
    • Check shipment documents
    • Follow up on the shipments from departure to arrival, in conjunction with the logistic responsible at the production sites
  • Liaison point of contact for the commercial & production team, responsibles and collaborators
  • Liaison point of contact for the clients with regards to the order to delivery process
  • Collect and file shipment reports
  1. Perform Commercial administrative and operational duties:
  • Import licenses: assist in administrative support, documentation, filing & application process follow up
  • Sales Agents: assist in administrative support and follow up
  • In charge of all commercial / logistic administrative activities in the day-to-day work, ensuring that all support needs are fully met
  • Admin related documents preparation
  • Close day to day collaboration with the logistic & production responsibles in the US and Colombia
  1. Perform Finance and Administrative duties:
  • Agent commission invoicing & process: administrative support and filing
  • R&D / Product development trials
    • Finance / accounting related documents and reporting preparation
    • Vendor contact and payment process for services/product purchase.
  1. Other tasks assigned by Line Manager
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor degree in Business/ Economics or equivalent required
  • Strong experience in logistics including export / import
  • Good verbal/written communication in English
  • Good knowledge of MS Office; SAP experience is a plus
